Digital Marketing & Marketplace Operations Lead

Core Focus:

Digital Platform Growth, User Onboarding, Marketplace Compliance, System Operations, AI Integration, Mobile App development & General updating and upgrading of the Marketplace.

Job Description:

The Digital Marketing & Marketplace Operations Lead oversees JOVAL’s digital platform, ensuring supplier and buyer engagement, marketplace credibility, and seamless compliance management. The position is responsible for growing platform visibility, managing user verification workflows, and coordinating the operational integration between the digital marketplace, suppliers, and buyers.

The ideal candidate combines marketing expertise with operational discipline and compliance awareness. This role serves as the central coordinator between the Business Development team (GCC), the Regional Operations team (East Africa), and the technical developers maintaining the marketplace infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform & User Management:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the JOVAL Marketplace portal (supplier listings, buyer inquiries, documentation workflows).
  • Approve or reject listings based on KYC and compliance documentation standards.
  • Ensure every product uploaded includes proper data — product type, Incoterm, location, pricing, and validity.
  • Manage admin dashboards, verification queues, and audit trails.
  • Conduct routine checks for inactive or unverified accounts.

 

Digital Marketing & Growth:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns targeting verified GCC suppliers andAfrican buyers.
  • Manage all LinkedIn, Google Ads, and industry-specific campaigns to attract listings and buyers.
  • Design and distribute newsletters and onboarding guides for users.
  • Lead PR and digital visibility — press releases, event promotions, and success story publications.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve SEO, traffic analytics, and overall UX experience.

 

Compliance & Verification Oversight:

  • Supervise the upload and verification of CR, VAT, COO, SGS, and inspection documents for all listed products.
  • Maintain a compliance dashboard that flags expired or missing documents.
  • Ensure 100% KYC compliance for all user accounts before activation.
  • Work with compliance officers to monitor platform adherence to Bahrain’s digital commerce and financial regulations.
  • Generate weekly compliance performance reports to management.

 

Technical Coordination & Analytics:

  • Track and analyse platform activity — number of listings, verified users, inquiries, conversions, and engagement trends.
  • Maintain system backups, data security policies, and user privacy compliance (GDPR standard).
  • Produce monthly KPI reports (traffic, conversions, compliance rate, and downtime logs).

 

Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the Business Development Manager (GCC) to ensure supplier listings match verified product availability.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager (East Africa) to align verified buyers with active listings.
  • Support management in investor reporting and portal presentations.
